The shrine has recently been repainted and looks splendid in traditional vermillion colors. Vermillion, very expensive and difficult to produce, was used only in high ranking buildings in the past. Religious ceremonies are carried out here for the Yunobori Festival held every year on April 13. Yu-gori, ritual purification in hot spring water, is carried out here.
